Richard Schwartz, American systemic family therapist, academic, author, and creator of the Internal Family Systems will discuss shame in addiction recovery and offer a live IFS session demo with a participant from the audience, followed by Q&A.

As a Senior IFS Lead Trainer, Cece will share insight for the first hour on what gets in the way of accepting all our parts, how to be compassionate with them, and how to develop clear boundaries, from Self; followed by a 30-minute Q&A with leaders from PATH.

David Kerwin will share candidly about his journey of recovery through physical, emotional & sexual abuse (including clergy) for one hour followed by 30-minute Q&A. David is now a Life, Addiction & level 3-trained Internal Family Systems Coach and certified Supervisor/Senior Addiction and Dual Diagnosis Counselor with 40+ years in recovery & 20+ years of Internal Family Systems experience.

Dr. Audrey Davidheiser is a licensed psychologist, certified IFS therapist, and IFSI-approved clinical consultant based in California. She specializes in trauma and religious trauma and co-leads IFS trainings. Her upcoming book, Grieving Wholeheartedly (IVP, July 2025), explores how IFS supports the grieving process.
